Please join the Mid-South Compensation Association for our quarterly meeting on Thursday, December, 10th at 11:30 A.M. until 1 P.M.

 

The meeting will take place at the Holiday Inn, 3700 Central Ave, Memphis, TN 38111.

 

Session Title:                         “Proposed sweeping changes to overtime provisions of the FLSA

Holiday Fundraiser:   MSCA will also be holding a toy drive during the event to benefit the Neighborhood Christian Community Toy Store. In lieu of registration fees we are asking all guests to bring an unwrapped, new toy valued at $20.00 or more. Please take the time to help a needy child in Memphis have a great holiday season!  If you do not wish to bring a gift, please pay the regular registration fee.  All proceeds from the meeting will be donated to the Neighborhood Christian Community Toy Store.

Description of Learning Objectives:

The program will explore the recently released overtime streamlining provisions of the FLSA and how the proposed sweeping changes will affect compensation practitioners.  In this interactive session, we will offer insight into these changes, as well as a view into those that are currently proposed.  As a result, you will better understand how it will affect your organizations.

•    How to prepare for the upcoming changes

 

 

 

Mark has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of compensation, including the design, development, implementation and ongoing administration of programs including base pay, variable compensation, sales and executive compensation.  Mark has held compensation leadership roles for Honeywell, Digital Equipment Corporation, Wang Laboratories, Kronos, Comcast, Progress Software and Lightbridge. In his current role at IBM, Mark drives research on trends in compensation.

 

He is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), member of the WorldatWork faculty, WorldatWork Editorial Review Board member and recipient of WorldatWork’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
